Last summer, six Elder staff members were invited to tour the USS Abraham Lincoln as part of the Distinguished Visitors Embark Program. I was one of the lucky ones on that trip. It took me nearly a year and the fact that a second group of staff members; Brian Bill, Bill Driehaus, Matt Eisle, Scott Louis, Rob Oberjohann and Scott Schaerer are now having the same experience (July 8 and 9, 2019) in order for me to complete this video account of the experience.

I’m pleased to hear that Elder will not move to Harrison. It makes me proud to see Elder’s administration did not run from the challenges of Price Hill. Instead Elder embraced it. I know the endeavor will be constant and on going long after I’m gone but the spirit of Elder will prevail for another 100 years. I’m so proud to be a 1966 alum of Elder High School.
