During this self-quarantining, every person has a ton of time on their hands. Almost too much time. There are only so many activities you can do to occupy yourself before boredom sets in. Here are 25 ways, from more general to more specific, to occupy yourself during this time:

Quarantine is the perfect time to finally start working out like you have been promising yourself the past couple months. Jog around your neighborhood or do some push-ups. Create a workout

3. Binge watch a TV series
With all of the streaming platforms available nowadays, almost everyone has the ability to watch some sort of television show so get hooked on one you have not watched before. Some popular series right now are All American, DAVE, Tiger King, The Office, and so many more.
4. Read a book
I know this is not something that most high schoolers will go out of their way to do, but why not give it a try? You’re bored, and you just might surprise yourself.
5. Board/card games
Sit down with the family at the kitchen table and play Monopoly or Risk, or get four people together and play a few games of Euchre.
6. Explore different types of music
With all this time, maybe you can try straying away from your typical genres of music and discover some bands, singers, or songs that you really like.
7. Make Art
Grab a paintbrush or a pencil or some other artistic tool and get your creative juices flowing. Making art is calming, time consuming, enjoyable, and can be rewarding.
8. Write a short story, poem, or book
What better time than to become a modern-day Shakespeare. Some of us may have this untapped potential within us that is just waiting to be discovered. Now is your time to shine.
9. Zoom with your friends
To practice social distancing and have fun, create a zoom call with a couple of your buddies. You’d be surprised by how electric these calls can get. Bring the energy and have a good time.
10. Yard work
Pops been on your back about pulling the weeds? Show him and get that work done. Plug in some earbuds and become the best weed puller of all time.
11. Make a podcast
Discuss any topic you want with a buddy, voice record it, and put it on the internet for the world to listen to. Simple.
12. Go viral on TikTok
Success rate on this one is probably pretty low, but give it a try if you want. I’d personally advise against it.
13. Get a new pet
Go to a PetSmart and buy a dog. It’s that simple. I suggest a Basset Hound, as it is the best dog breed out there.
14. Search for food aimlessly
Whenever you’re bored just look through the refrigerator and cupboards. You don’t have to be hungry to do this nor do you have to eat the food you find.
15. Become a better cook
You are going to live on your own at some point in your life, so you might as well start mastering skills that will be used in the future. Start with easy meals and work your way up to more complicated recipes.
16. Shave your head or dye your hair
This is a trend right now for reasons unknown. However, if it pleases you to go bald or have pink hair then do it. Who cares if you don’t like the look of it? No one is going to see you besides your family.
17. Learn origami via YouTube
Origami is perhaps the most slept on skill a person can attain. It is a talent that few have but everyone wants. Watch several YouTube videos and attempt to learn this complicated art.
18. Become self-taught ambidextrous
Start by perform everyday tasks with your off hand. Then, progress to being able to throw a football or swing a golf club off handed. This is not for the faint of heart.
19. Build a small wooden shack in your yard
Try to become a carpenter by building a little hangout for you in the yard. Having a place to do your own thing and just think can be very valuable.
20. Become a division one driveway basketball player
Haven’t shot hoops in a couple years? Used to be an all-star “back in your day?” Now is your time to go back to the glory days and master your craft. Train like you did in grade school and shoot basketball for hours at a time.
21. Learn a new language
This is probably the hardest yet most beneficial thing to do on this list. You are going to have a lot of time on your hands, and learning a language will take every bit of time you have. However, speaking two languages is something that can help your career in whatever field you pursue in the future.
22. Make a troll/burner twitter account
Create an incognito Twitter account and engage in pointless arguments with random people about sports or anything else. Slightly frowned upon but entertaining nonetheless.
23. Taste test different brands of bologna
You’d be surprised by the amount of different bologna brands. This is a great time to find out if there is actually any different in taste between these brands
24. Shower upwards of 12 times a day
Morning shower, mid-morning shower, afternoon shower and so on. Twelve showers would occupy about two hours of your time. Just be prepared to be berated by your family members.
25. Become an ordained minister
There are hundreds of websites that offer free ways to get ordained. Answer a few questions, and you’ll be running a wedding ceremony. There is no bigger flex than being an ordained minister.
