The finest meats on the west side

A look into Bridgetown Finer Meats and what it has to offer

December 6, 2017

If you’re looking for the finer things in life, look no further than the west side of Cincinnati.  On Bridgetown Road, past what used to be known as the five-way is a deli shop not just known for the meat.

Bridgetown Finer Meats was established in 1979 with the intentions to sell not just the finest meats, but produce, wine, and anything else they had to offer.

Nothing better than eating fresh, great food

They started gaining popularity around the west side and soon word spread about them. Since then have become a staple throughout.  Ranging from ribs, chicken, steak, burgers, salmon, and cod, you name the type of meat and they most certainly have it.

Another attribute they have brought to the table is their catering business.  This has been established to help make it easier for large groups to enjoy the delicious food they have to offer.

All this popularity means more customers and with more customers comes more workers.

Elder students have certainly taken advantage of these job opportunities over the years and this year it is more of the same.  The panthers have left a mark on what Bridgetown Finer Meats is today.

The present students that work there are seniors Cole Klosterman and Daniel Thomas and juniors Brady Murphy, Gavin Florimonte, Jake Kelley, Patrick Brogan, and J.P. Eary.

If you stop by to get yourself some delicious meat, you will most likely see Cole Klosterman working at the front desk ready to take your order.

“A normal day for me would be prepping the store before the rush comes in.  During the day I wait on customers and answer any questions about the countless options we have,” said Klosterman, “I also make sure all the food in the showcases look nice and appealing for the customers.”

Another nice part about this place is the fact that you can always order all types of sandwiches and sides to have a nice lunch or even dinner without having to cook anything.

Bridgetown Finer Meats has also expanded to sell fresh produce and wine of all kinds.  Basically you could do most of your grocery shopping there and save time having to deal with the loads of people at a grocery store.

Now all this is probably sounding delicious and enticing you to go try it out, but what do you get?

If you talk to anyone, they would tell you to give their famous green beans a try, but what I would recommend are the twice baked potatoes.

A potato cooked then mashed up and mixed with cheese, bacon, onion, and sour cream.  Then more cheese and sour cream on top and cooked again to perfection is one of the better tasting items I have eaten.

Cole told me that he recommends getting their number 9 Marinated Flank steak with both the famous green beans and a twice baked potato to go with it.  “The multitude of flavors that come with that meal is something everyone has to experience,” said Klosterman.

Those are just a couple of the many, many options served by Bridgetown Finer Meats.

Next time your thinking of grilling out burgers, cooking a home-cooked meal for the family, or just getting a quick bite to eat, I highly recommend stopping by Bridgetown Finer Meats.  You won’t regret it.
