#TheNumberFest is growing bigger every year
The stage has been set in Athens, Ohio. On April 18, 2015, the largest college music festival in the United States will get underway.
The Number Fest was established in 2004. However, students Dominic Petrozzi and Tim Kehoe held the first festival in 2003. They wanted to celebrate the end of the school year by having a music festival at Ohio University in the spring time. The first year of its existence, the festival was a total success and had everyone wanting more. However, things transpired with the founders of the first music festival that prevented them from having TwoFest until 2005 which was two years after the first fest.
The Number Fest has been called the modern day “Woodstock” by many, and rightfully so. It is an all-day music festival that will have everyone rowdy from sun up to sun down, and they have their own BYOB format that caters to the 21 and older crowd. There will be parties galore up in Athens, and it will be insane. The time had up in Athens during The Number Fest is said to be a once in a lifetime experience for the people in attendance, and it cannot be matched by any other music festival.
Other than just being an all-out amazing music festival, The Number Fest has provided an amazing opportunity for artists to get recognized. Wiz Khalifa, Machine Gun Kelly, and Kendrick Lamar are just a few od the artists who have played at number fest, so you can see just how big this music festival really is.
This year, the festival is called ThirteenFest. Artists who are going to perform include Diplo, ScHoolboy Q, G-Eazy, ILOVEMAKONNEN, and many more. This year is poised to be even bigger than years prior, and it is going to be one hell of a time. They are expecting more than 15,000 people this year to attend and anything under that number would be a disappointment.
