As another year drags on, one thing is guaranteed, another Call of Duty will soon be on its way. The Call of Duty franchise has been a huge part of the gaming world since 2003. Seemingly every game the Call of Duty franchise puts out is an automatic candidate for video game of the year.

The next game set to come out for Call of Duty is going to complete the Black Ops trilogy, which means Black Ops III is getting released and the set date for it to come out is November 6, 2015. Black Ops I was an instant favorite because it brought back zombies which was introduced in Call of Duty: World at War in 2009. Since the first Black Ops, the second one brought a new style to zombies which means gamers are going to be in for yet another surprise to the zombie gameplay.

The Call of Duty franchise, in its entirety, is one of the most successful gaming franchises ever. Per Wikipedia, as of April 2015, the prosperous franchise has sold over 175 million copies of its games. In my opinion, the best Call of Duty game to date is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. It is THE GAME that got me into the Call of Duty franchise, and since then there still has not been a Call of Duty better than Modern Warfare 2.

Maybe Black Ops III will be the best game the prosperous franchise releases, but until it gets released that will still be speculation. The trailer for Black Ops III makes the game look very promising, and I am sure it will be a hit. It seems like the creators of the various Call of Duty games can do no wrong, and it is fun sitting back, waiting to see what they have next for us.
