What will you eat in the morning?
They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
If so, wouldn’t it be pretty important what is contained in the meal that sets us up for the day. Depending on how much time you have in the morning, breakfast can get quite elaborate. With more time, omelets or a cake-based breakfast can be made. This could include items such as pancakes or waffles if there is a waffle machine ready to use. Or when there is not much time to eat, a banana and a breakfast bar in the car may have to be a quick solution to morning hunger. Here, you are about to learn about the best, most nutritious food available for the time you have in the morning.
If you have over 20 minutes to make breakfast you are in luck because there are a lot of options available to you. To start, you can do about anything you want to with one of the worlds most nutritious foods: eggs. Eggs are packed with some of the best contents any human body could ask for. One single large egg contains only 77 calories, five grams of fat, yet six grams of protein and nine essential amino acids which play a huge role in protein, hormone and neurotransmitter synthesis. So, essentially, one egg will help with a level head emotionally and neurologically along with protein to rebuild muscles throughout the day. So, with eggs, what can you make?
With 20 minutes you can get a pan out and get to work. One option is the omelet route. This can incorporate favorite cheeses and vegetables to the makers choice. Or crack two eggs in a bowl add a couple milliliters of milk to make fluffy scrambled eggs with some cheddar cheese sprinkled on top along with the classic salt and pepper added. Or maybe scramble a single egg and meanwhile dropping an English muffin in the toaster and adding a piece of American cheese to make your own Egg McMuffin. The only limitation to eggs is the imagination of the cook.
Let’s say, though, there are only 10 minutes available in the morning between being dressed and leaving. That is prime time to enjoy and large bowl of cereal. But, eating a bunch of sugar in the morning is the not the objective here. One good cereal that I personally advise is Quaker’s Oatmeal Squares. The squares are very filling and take a solid amount of time to scarf down. The squares have a little cinnamon zest to them which makes the bearable to eat. Another cereal that is considered “good enough” for you would be Life. Life is very similar to the oatmeal squares since they are both based on non-enriched ingredients. Along with Life, other good healthy cereals could be Honey Bunches of Oats or even the sugar-coated Mini Wheats which are also quite filling.
With only five minutes, one is now limited to pre-packaged foods. But, that doesn’t mean it had to be made in a factory. Bananas are one of the best pre-packaged foods created by God rather than engineers. With five minutes, you can peel a banana, drink a glass of milk and be on the way. Any less time and sitting down and scarfing down the food will not be enjoyable. So, with all of this new information, how will your breakfast life change? Maybe try some eggs tomorrow.
