The #3 seeded Panthers dominated #27 Harrison Friday night at Fairfield High School in the opening round of OHSAA Boys Basketball Tournament , defeating the Wildcats, 65 to 34. Elder, coming off a OT win over LaSalle to clinch a share of the GCL South title continued shooting well from the 3 point arc. Elder shot 57% from 3 point range, most of those coming in the first half.
Elder was led in scoring by junior Andrew Harp who had 11 points and made a trio of threes. Elder played a balanced game with just about everyone on the roster scoring. This was a great game for the Panthers to ease themselves in tournament play.

Harrison’s leading scorer was Peyton Ploehs. Is he any relation to long time Elder teacher John Ploehs?

I think he might be a grandson or grand-nephew.
