Preseason is underway; FC Cincinnati may sign Uruguayan Hulk

Hulk; one of the greatest super humans of all time. Pure strength and it comes with a natural ability to defend.

This describes FC Cincinnati target Armando Mendez.

Mendez, 24, is on the top of the short list for FCC head coach Jaap Stam and GM Gerrard Nijkamp. Mendez stands at a whopping 5′-7″ but packs the strength of a thousand men. He is literally the Hulk.

FC Cincinnati have been in the market recently for players that fit the physical style of play of HC Jaap Stam and they have also been looking for an “enforcer” on the back line and Mendez fits the role.

As seen from the previous image he looks like he eats children for breakfast and benches 800 pounds on a daily basis and that might be the juice FCC needs to stop allowing goals. This may cause a problem on the back side of the game as Mendez is prone to red cards and for him to make an impact like any other player on the pitch, they need to be on the pitch to do so.

On transfermarkt.us, Mendez currently has a value of 495 thousand and could be a nice addition to the roster if an international spot can be made for him to come in.

FC Cincinnati recently brought in Brenner and I still have no idea how they did that without space for him on the roster as a Brazilian Intl.

In other news, preseason is underway and a few games have been announced. FC Cincinnati will be heading to Orlando in the coming weeks for preseason and have arranged friendlies with Chicago Fire FC, Louisville City FC (USL), Orlando City SC, and Minnesota United. FCC will face off in two friendlies against Louisville City; one at the Mercy Health Training Center on March 13 and another at Lynn Family Stadium (Louisville, KY) at a later date.

FC Cincinnati begins their 2021 campaign on April 17th with no official regular season schedule announced as of right now, but you can expect a follow up article soon as we are just short of a month away from the regular season beginning.

I am beyond excited to see what we can do this year in our third MLS season and first season in West End Stadium.
