Sandwiched between two well-known dive bars sits the hidden gem restaurant of Delhi Pike: The Loaded Gyro.
The Loaded Gyro is not just an item on the menu, it is the restaurant located at 4866 Delhi Road, Cincinnati, OH 45238.
The Loaded Gyro is family-owned and known for fast service and consistent quality. The restaurant that opened about a year ago focuses on Greek and American food with its most popular menu item being the loaded gyro and seasoned fries.
A few days ago, I was fortunate to sample this and now I want to give some insight into this lesser-known restaurant.

As we all know, the main menu item is the Loaded Gyro. The sandwich includes gyro meat (double for $1.50), tomatoes, onions, peppers, feta cheese, and tzatziki sauce on the side. At $10.00, it offers more food than a typical gyro. Customers often say the portion is enough for two meals.
The gyro itself is phenomenal, but the tzatziki sauce is what takes in to the next level. The succulent meat and the sweet tzatziki gave me vibes of prime Miami Heat Bron and D-Wade; the way they worked together. On the other hand, the fries were also phenomenal. They are double fried with a crisp and consistent texture making them almost irresistible, I highly recommend.
The menu has other popular items from what I have heard. They have their popular Greek fries which come with feta, oregano, and sauce, and GG Balls (short for Gyro Goetta Balls) which mix local goetta with gyro meat and cheese. Many reviews point to these as a top choice.
The restaurant also sells Philly steak options and baklava for dessert from what I have heard. Reviews on platforms like Yelp and DoorDash were also positive. One customer said the gyro was “huge and seasoned well.” Another praised the tzatziki sauce for being creamy and flavorful. Groups who order catering say the trays are full and worth the cost. The food was also often described as consistent in taste and size.
While I was ordering, the service was incredible. The workers were amazing and got my order correct. The hospitality was through the roof. If you go, expect straightforward service and large servings. The space is small, but the focus is on the food. Takeout is common, and delivery is available through apps.
For students or families, this makes it easy to order without waiting inside. Fun Fact: St Dominic School, right down the road, occasionally caters from them for hot lunch on Fridays!
I personally wanted to explore other menu items but didn’t have the stomach nor appetite for that but quickly noticed something. Another customer dining in had ordered the wings, which happened to be a menu I had not tired. I quickly walked up to him as he was finishing his meal and he told me, “Dude these are some of the best wings I’ve had in a minute,” as he wiped the sauce off his face, “I highly recommend.”
The Loaded Gyro is not a chain. That helps it stand out in a city where mega fast-food chains dominate. By keeping the focus on size and flavor, it has become a spot that many Delhi guys recommend.
If you want a full meal and a local touch, this restaurant gives you both. The next time you want Greek food, you should know where to look. The Loaded Gyro delivers on its name. It gives you a loaded meal that fills you up and keeps you coming back repeatedly.
It shows how a small place can build a strong reputation. It does this through its loaded servings, flavors, and perfect service. If you want a gyro that gives you more than the basics, this is a place worth visiting. Hopefully this article can give The Loaded Gyro traction and help it thrive for years to come.

This spot is a local treasure, and this month, November, they are offering options for folks who wish to feed the hungry to pre-pay for a meal.
