Jackson Ruth’s perfect Saturday is an adventure. let me tell ya! He says it would be “hanging out with my friends on a sunny day during the first week of college football.” After the Elder Panthers became GCL champions, Jackson had one of the best Saturdays in his life. You can already tell that this day is going to be full of fun, friends, and football.
Jackson starts his Saturday morning feeling good after “a big win from the night before,” because as we all know, the Panthers are rolling right now. Jackson says he does about the same thing every Saturday and he doesn’t want to try anything new. “Not really, as they say in the movies, I’ve been there, done that, and I’m going back for more.”
When Jackson wakes up he heads off to film, and afterwards he and the guys go get some “grub” at Price Hill Chili. I’m always hungry after a big win, so I get a hangover bowl with bacon and sausage.” Sounds like the winner’s breakfast to me.
Once everyone is full, Jackson and his friends go to Sully’s house. They hang out in the basement, crack some jokes, and watch college football for a few hours. Jackson says he and his friend Al Dugan would then “go outside and see if anyone would want to play us in cornhole, and of course me and Al Dugan dominate the boards.” After a few games and laughs, they head back inside to watch some more football.
Jackson loves when the weather is nice out. He says, “I want it to be hot enough that if I want to, I can jump in Sully’s pool to cool off.” But he also admits he’s “not what they call an aquatic creature” and doesn’t do too well in the water.
Later in the evening, Derek Uran usually says, “YOOOO you guys want to go to Chandlers or Champions for dinner?” They usually end up going because it’s close to Sully’s house, but Jackson says he’d prefer Champions. After dinner, the guys look for something fun to do that night. Jackson said they usually don’t ever make plans. “I prefer to just see where the wind takes me because then it’s more of an adventure and I think you make more memories with your guys when you have a Saturday night with no plans, but wherever we end up, me and Al Dugan will be found having a good time.”
After wherever he is at this point starts to get a little boring, all the boys get a text from Sully saying they can go back to his crib to spend the night. There, Jackson plays pool or darts and hangs out with his friends. “After that, I stay up with the fellas to watch a movie, probably Stand By Me before going to bed knowing that I have no homework that I have to do the next day.”
