Be more cautious
There have been many recent accidents that involve a school bus getting hit with children on board. On October 29, 2012 a school bus in Carroll County Kentucky full of preschoolers was headed down a narrow road when another vehicle passes. The bus driver thinking the best for the young children moves over, thinking the driver of the other vehicle would slow down and pass with caution. But instead the vehicle flies by the bus and keeps driving. The bus driver moved to the side of the road and lost control. The bus flipped over and nailed a tree on the side of the road, instantly killing two 3-year old children that were pronounced dead at the scene, and injuring nine other children and two adults. Some of children were later released and others are still being treated, with three still in intensive care. Another accident happened in Clinton County on October 26, 2012 with another school bus packed full of students. This accident sent twenty-five students to the hospital. No major injuries, but just some minor trauma. So EMS took them to the hospital just as a precaution. So if you’re out driving on a narrow road and you see a school bus give them some room to get by because there is a good chance that there are young students on that bus. They would most probably like to get home to their mom and dad. We hate to see anything happen to younger kids get hurt even if we don’t know them; they have a long life ahead of them. Pray for the family members of those two preschool students who passed away on October 29, 2012. Also for the students who are in the hospital. R.I.P Ryder Deitz and Caroline Tuttle.
