April 1, 2026 — The Elder community was left stunned this morning as Eric Mason, longtime Elder News Now (ENN) anchor and resident celebrity, announced he’s trading his news scripts for sheet music. In a move that’s already being called the “biggest plot twist since Olaf found summer,” Eric is officially joining the Elder-Seton spring musical, Frozen.

Eric broke the news with his trademark puns during the morning ENN broadcast, signing off with, “It’s time for me to let it go… and go sing with Seton.” Viewers at first suspected an April Fools’ joke, but sources confirm: Eric’s really in the cast. He’ll be playing Kristoff, Arendelle’s favorite ice harvester (and amateur sled driver).
The ENN body has been blindsided by this news especially his brother Kyle Mason who said, “I never saw it coming” I myself was shocked and upset that we are losing one of our best men.
“Honestly, I just want to see if I can top my performance from this year’s morning shows,” Eric told reporters, “Plus, I heard Sven the reindeer gets all the best lines.”
Seton’s director said, “Eric brings energy to every rehearsal. If he can handle live broadcasts, a little singing in a snowstorm won’t faze him.”
The ENN newsroom is already scrambling to fill Eric’s spot, with rumors swirling that his replacement will be decided by who can pronounce words correctly on air. Of course, we have Carter and Dylan but its still undecided of who will take the sports slot his brother Kyle and Kent S0kolis are undergoing interviews at the moment. Meanwhile, Frozen tickets are selling out.
Catch Eric and the rest of the cast as they bring Frozen to life on stage this April. Just remember: in high school, anything can happen.
