Imagine growing up poor in the heart of the Amazon rainforest, struggling to find food, get by every day, and barely even having a roof overhead. This is exactly what Ramon Dino went through growing up in Acre, Brazil. He faced an unfathomably rough childhood living through challenges that would lead any other person to forget their dreams and try to just get by. How he pushed through this challenging childhood and became a dominant force at the topmost stage of bodybuilding is a story like no other. Ramon is a shining example that if someone wants something bad enough, and works for it, anything is achievable.
Ramon Rocha Queiroz, more commonly known as Ramon Dino, was born on February 9th, 1995, in Acre, Brazil, and is the youngest son of Franchesco Hamilton and Susana Moura. Ramon was born into a poor family that lived in a wooden house, which flooded every time it rained. At a young age Ramon’s parents separated, and he was left under the care of his father who enforced a strict code of religion and discipline to keep his sons out of the dangers that surrounded them. Ramon felt out of place in his family, being the youngest of four brothers, he was always put in comparison to his brothers and struggled to find his identity and purpose.

Growing up in Rio Branco was not an ideal childhood for Ramon by any means, Rio Bronco is a city surrounded by endless forest; infested with poverty, crime, gang violence, and drugs. Ramon was lucky to have his father, for he was a highly respected, even feared man.
Ramon was always the biggest kid in school, so much so, that many kids thought Ramon was older than what he actually was. Ramon was a very outgoing and friendly kid; he was always pushing to meet new people and find ways to better himself.

From a young age people always said, “This kid is different.”
Ramon started out his fitness journey with simple calisthenics. Ramon couldn’t afford a gym membership, but he loved sports he wanted to grow his body to improve his ability to play sports.

Ramon used whatever he could find and made his own makeshift weights focusing on doing body weight movements. Just from doing calisthenics Ramon’s physique exploded however, what eventually got Ramon into bodybuilding is when, aspiring bodybuilder, Marcio Garcia walked by the park where Ramon trained and saw him doing calisthenics. Garcia was amazed by Ramon’s physique and bewildered by the fact he had reached a physique that impressive with only calisthenics. Garcia knew with proper weight training and diet Ramon could be a dominant force in the sport of bodybuilding.
Garcia took Ramon under his wing and began to train him. within months of proper training Ramon’s physique drastically changed, unlike most who take years to become ready to even
think about competing Ramon was ready in under a year. Ramon began his contest prep, and his physique was unreal.
In 2018, Dino competed in Olympia Brasil, one of Brazil’s most prestigious bodybuilding competitions. At this event, he earned his Pro Card in the Classic Physique category, and he showed to the world that even a boy from Acre could be successful in the topmost of bodybuilding.

As Ramon continued on in bodybuilding he ran into his biggest obstacle. In 2021, he made his international debut at the Mr. Olympia, placing fifth. Ramon placing this high at his first international show sparked huge recognition, and fame buzzed around his name. At the 2022 Mr. Olympia Ramon greatened his name even more by placing second to the Canadian bodybuilder Chris “CBum” Bumstead, who secured his fourth straight title that year.

Ramon’s future shined brighter than ever, and many people though Ramon would for sure overthrow Cbum, and the reign of total domination that he had brought to Classic Physique for the past four years. Ramon came in dialed for the 2023 Mr. Olympia, as he had won his first international Pro show in March, at the Arnold Classic, in Columbus, Ohio. However, Ramon placed second yet again to Cbum, at the Olympia, and had to return to the drawing board once again in hopes of overthrowing the reigning champ at the 2024 Olympia.
Ramon grinded all year in preparation to the 2024 Mr. Olympia only to be heartbroken on stage when he started to sweat profusely causing his tan to come off. Many people believe that if he had not lost his tan, he would have beat Cbum however, Ramon fell to 4th place and Cbum won, yet again.

After the 2024 Mr. Olympia, Cbum announced his retirement, and the stage was open for the 2025 Olympia. Almost instantly people already counted Ramon out, they had given up on Ramon and started to say things like he will always just be a second-place competitor. The public became set on Mike Summerfield, who placed 2nd in 2024.
However, Ramon had something else to say, he won the Olympia Brasil and qualified for the 2025 Mr. Olympia just weeks after his 4th place finish. As a result of this, Ramon was able to start his offseason months before anyone else. When Ramon stepped on stage at the 2025 Mr. Olympia everyone was astonished and knew after just prejudging that the “boy from Acre” would finally take first.

Ramon dominated, and won the 2025 Mr. Olympia, he destroyed fan favorite Mike Summerfield and set his name in the books forever. Ramon is a shining example of what hard work and dedication can lead to. Ramon came from nothing; he grew up in extreme poverty and was surrounded by negative factors. However, Ramon pushed through all of this, he proved nothing matters besides a strong mindset and grinding for your dreams.
