The best of the best are coming to Cincinnati this summer

Summer is right around the corner, meaning that we are almost near another season of concerts here in the Queen City. Nothing can possibly beat summer in the city of Cincinnati, and the perfect to compliment our great weather is the amazing lineup of concerts planned at Riverbend, Horseshoe Casino, and Great American Ball Park. There are many great musicians coming into Cincinnati this year, and the sooner you get tickets the better off you’ll be when show time rolls around.

Country

  1. Luke Bryan

Country superstar Luke Bryan takes the stage at Riverbend on back-to-back days, August 23rd and August 24th as part of his That’s My Kinda Night tour. Unfortunately both of these shows are currently sold out, so you’ll have to scope out ebay and craigslist for these tickets.

  1. Toby Keith

Toby Keith, who has established himself as one of country’s most well-known performers over his 20+ year career, will roll into Riverbend on August 8th, accompanied by Colt Ford and his daughter, country music singer Krystal Keith.

  1. Rascal Flatts

Country’s most popular trio winds down their Rewind Tour 2014 with a trip to Riverbend on September 5th. The group will be performing with the talented Sheryl Crow, and will be opened up by country music band Gloriana

Rock

  1. Motley Crue

The Crue makes a pit stop to Riverbend on July 6th, midway through their farewell tour, and will rock Cincinnati one last time before calling it quits. They will be opened up by rock legend Alice Cooper, so this is one show you can’t afford to miss

  1. Aerosmith and Slash

America’s Greatest Rock Band comes to Riverbend on July 22nd, with special guests Slash and Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. This is sure to be one that rock heads out there will be saving their money for. One of America’s greatest rock bands of all time combined with one of the greatest guitarists of all time will surely be one for the ages.

  1. Vans Warped Tour

A staple of annual Cincinnati rock concerts, this is probably the most well-known rock tours to come to Cincinnati each year. Warped Tour takes place on July 16th and will feature some of the most popular rock bands of now, including Bowling for Soup, Breath Carolina, and Mayday Parade.

At Horseshoe Casino

  1. American Idol Live

On July 3rd, a very unique concert experience will feature American Idol contestants, including Season 13 finalists C.J. Harris, Jena Irene, Caleb Jonson, Jessica Meuse, MK Nobilette, Alex Preston, Dexter Roberts, Majesty Rose, Malaya Watson, and Sam Woolf, as part of the AMERICAN IDOL LIVE! Tour. What’s even better is that with every ticket purchased, the tour will donate $1 to The Melanoma Research Alliance to help find a cure for melanoma.

  1. Boston and Survivor

Boston comes to Cincinnati on August 28th with Survivor, as part of their ongoing Heaven on Earth tour. Known for their hits, “More than a feeling”, “Augustana”, and “Peace of Mind”, along with Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger”, this concert is sure to be one for the ages

  1. Styx and Foreigner, with Don Felder

With a combined total of 250 million albums sold, this trio will be coming to the Shoe on June 5th as part of The Soundtrack of Summer tour. Three of the most legendary names in US rock history, it’s kind of confusing how this show couldn’t get a date at the much bigger Riverbend pavilion, instead of standing room only Horseshoe Casino. Don Felder sums up the entire show in one sentence, “The sheer volume of our combined catalogs is massive and should satisfy any rock & roll fan, and rock them until they can’t walk out of the place.”

At Great American Ballpark

  1. Jason Aldean

Accompanied by Miranda Lambert, Florida Georgia Line, and Tyler Farr, the 2014 Burn it Down tour will be coming to GABP on July 19th. This is probably the most heavily anticipated concert of the 2014 season, and unfortunately you’ll have to pay a little extra to go, because tickets have been sold out since March.

  1. Jay Z and Beyonce

Only announced just a couple weeks ago, the pair will bring their On the Run tour to Cincinnati on June 28th, and the sooner you get tickets, the better off you’ll be. The Jason Aldean tickets sold out only within a few weeks of tickets going on sale, so this concert likely will have the same results.

Even More Country

  1. Zac Brown Band

One of country’s greatest acts will be coming to Riverbend on June 13th as part of The Great American Road Trip, and will certainly be one of the best shows to hit Cincinnati this summer. With hits like “Chicken Fried”, “Uncaged”, and “The Foundation”, all country lovers need to act now to get tickets to this amazing show.

  1. Brad Paisley

Brad Paisley hits up the Queen City on June 20th, and is bringing Randy Houser, Leah Turner, and Charlie Worsham with him. This is certainly one that all the country lovers would pay top notch to see, and one that is sure to rock Riverbend this June.

  1. Keith Urban

New American Idol judge Keith Urban takes the stage on July 31st as part of his Raise ‘Em Up tour, along with Jerrod Niemann and Brett Eldridge. With hit singles like “Little Bit of Everything”, and “We Were Us”, this will be yet another awesome country concert that will show everyone else how it’s supposed to be done.

Whether you’re into country, rock, or just having a good time, there’s a concert for everyone this summer in Cincinnati.
