Pryor does it big

Terrell Pryor is one of the NFL’s most unique young players with a background that many ex college football players have but few have revealed. Pryor is an underestimated freak of nature not only because of his young age but because of his sketchy background, something that Buckeye Nation still hasn’t forgiven him for four years ago.

Pryor is a is 6’-6”, 233 pound beast of a quarterback who is tailor-made for making his way out of the pocket and bulling his way through defenders to get the first down. Pryor was definitely a steal in fantasy for whoever was lucky enough and intelligent to get him and see his potential. Pryor will pick up major yardage with his ability to run outside of the pocket and juke out defenders. The plus side to having a quarterback like Pryor, is that he can throw the ball and use his athleticism if he needs to. If his coaches can pick up on his potential, they’ll have a dual threat quarterback that can lead them to the playoffs.

After being forced out of Ohio State because of his tattoo scandal, in which he traded his BCS rings for tattoos, he has had some trouble ever since. In 2011, when he entered the draft he was pciked in the third round. The Raiders had a major coup getting Pryor in the third considering the fact that he was young with an excellent college football track record with the Bucks. His first year in the league was rough. Pryor had to serve an NFL-mandated five game suspension. After his five game suspension, Pryor finally got to see the field in his first NFL start against the Kansas City Chiefs where he lined up as a wide receiver went in motion and ran a quarterback sneak. The play was nullified because of a false start, but none the less Pryor got his first start.

In 2012, Pryor sat the bench for most of the season because of Carson Palmer. In the Raiders final game against the San Diego Chargers, Pryor finally got his got his first start and threw two touchdowns and an interception. That’s not half bad for a first start. This year, Pryor is the Raiders’ starting quarterback and doing great. As a team, the Raiders are 2-3 which is about average. Pryor is on a hot streak though, being fifth in the league in completion percentage, sixth in YPA (8.13), and eighth in passing rating (97.6). Not to mention he’s rushing for 52.3 yards per game. With Pryor’s skill set there’s no doubt he’ll turn out great.
