Will the raiders to Area 51 have the chance to see real aliens?

Area 51 is a classified United States Air Force facility that is located in Lincoln County, Nevada.

Many superstitions surround this facility; one of the most common rumors is that aliens are being kept and hidden in this top-secret base. I would be lying if I told you I was not curious about this superstition. A small part of me actually believes aliens are being kept in this facility.

This belief is highly based on hope. If aliens are real I would be stoked. The other part of this belief is based on the fact that the government has the resources and ability to hide so much from us, and this makes me wonder if aliens are one of these hidden things.

Earlier this year, in June, Mathew Roberts created a Facebook event titled, “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us.” This event started as a joke, but now more than 2 million people have responded to the event saying they will be attending it. The raid is scheduled for September 20, 2019.

A festival called AlienStock is even being planned for the weekend of the raid. This festival is being planned so if the raid goes wrong people can still have some fun that weekend. The event is set to include music, comedians, food, and many activities. The raid creator, Roberts, was set to be one of the chief planners for this festival, but due to poor planning and the risk involved, he has decided not to be involved in AlienStock. Roberts also said he will not attend the raid himself and will be in downtown Las Vegas celebrating his own AlienStock Festival.

The “raiders” believe that if enough people attend the event, the Air Force will not be able to stop all of them. Contrary to this belief, U.S. Air Force spokeswoman Laura McAndrews said, “The U.S. Air Force always stands ready to protect America and its assets.” Basically, McAndrews is saying that the Air Force will blow the Area 51 raiders to shreds if they actually attempt to storm the facility.

I believe that it is idiotic for anyone to attempt this after the Air Force has repeatedly advised against this event. If the event’s creator does not have enough faith in his own idea to stick true to it, then it is probably not smart to try and do this. However, I think that several thousand people will show up for the AlienStock Festival. And, I do believe there are some people in this world who will still attempt to storm Area 51 despite these warnings. I wish all my luck to the few brave people who attempt to storm this facility.

*As of September 12, 2019 AlienStock Festival has been cancelled due to fear of a repeat of Fyre Fest 2.0.
