Spring Sports are back! They return to Elder after the Covid-19 Pandemic shut down schools for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.

This season has fans of our spring sports; baseball, lacrosse, tennis, track & field, and volleyball excited to watch the teams compete. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine recently announced that attendance at inside and outside events can operate at even larger capacities; 25% inside and 30% outside.

That being said, some fans that want to watch in-person events will still be unable to attend. That is where our future award-winning student broadcast crew steps in.

As of this writing, we are planning on streaming all home baseball, lacrosse and volleyball events. That is not a guarantee because my overly ambitious self often gets ahead of reality.

When I was a sophomore, we were able to stream a lot of home events, but not anywhere near the level I want us to be this year. This spring, I want to cover as many events that we can and not limit ourselves. There is a lot of work to be done, but our ENN crew will do anything to help fans watch games from anywhere around the globe. When I was a sophomore, we pulled off five broadcasts in a five day stretch. As of this writing, that isn’t possible due to schedules not lining up. But we are light years ahead of where we were just two short years ago.

The technology that we now have is providing our viewers the best experience possible to watch just about any sporting event they desire. This spring sports season deserves to be showcased because last year there were no sports at all due to the pandemic. This year the pandemic is fading away and things are starting to get back to normal.

I have already been able to get some videos of of spring squads in action as they prepare for their season. This will be the busiest time of year for the Elder Sports Broadcasting Crew not only because of all the games and events that we will be covering, but also because of all the technical improvements we have available to us here at Elder.

As of this writing, it looks like we will be producing roughly 30 Spring Sports home events. Be sure to follow along and stay up to date on the Broadcasting Schedule by checking often at ehsports.com
