Track looking to repeat last season’s success

Track looking to repeat last seasons success

Spring is right around the corner, and you know what that means – another Elder track season. After having a fantastic season last year and winning GCL, there is high hopes for the team this year.

Although having a very successful year last year, and hoping to have another one this year, the Panthers lost a lot of seniors. Hopefully the Panthers will be led to a great season by seniors T.J Ruwan and Nick Pangallo.

I was able to talk to Junior Tyler Allgeyer about this season and he told me, “I think we will have a great season this year. I think we have a really good chance to win GCL, and I can’t wait for the meets to start.”

Junior Zach Viox who has been on varsity since last year was able to give me some insight on this season. Viox said, “You know Joey I think we have a chance to do something special this year. I’m hoping to improve most of my times from last year, and hope all the hard work I put into the offseason will pay off this year.”

There are some newcomers to the team this year, one being Brad Feldhaus. Brad seems to be very excited to be a part of the team this year. He hopes he will be able to make some sort of impact this year.

Hopefully the track team will be able to bring back another GCL title, and I wish them the best of luck this season.
